She is an innocent, young teenage girl. Her songs appeal not only to one target audience, but to a general audience. Like Susan Boyle, but with the effect of children and teens. Gaga has a low effect on people out of teenagers or young adults, such as elders, or younger children. Taylor is also widely praised by critics. So if Gaga manages to outsell her, i would be very surprised.

She has two primary audiences. The first is a huge country audience. She's one of the most successful country artists of all time, and the most successful of the digital age. The second is a huge audience of pop listeners who find her music relateable.
It's a shame that so many people think she's an artist for children. Certainly, her self-titled first album was a teenage album completely. It was written when she was fifteen years old. It's all about teenage relationships. But her last two albums have shown tremendous growth. Yes, she tackles relationships still, because in reality, one struggles with relationships all of their lives. It's not as if she's the only grown-up woman singing about love. But on top of that, she delves deeply into the transition from child to adulthood, what it means for her, what it means for everyone and why it's so difficult. In a sense, she is so successful because, despite her immense fame, she is familiar and relateable to people.

Yes, but i am sure young children are attracted to her a lot more than the current pop stars, such as gaga or Rihanna. Children and Teens are also a huge source of her popularity. I do agree however that she has grown a lot from her debut album.

GaGa's appeal is by far much less broad than Taylor Swift.

Which is funny, because in my opinion GaGa has a much broader appeal. She bundles music, art, fashion, pop culture, technology, and New York all into one and tries to do so much, whereas Taylor is a country pop artist who is successful MAINLY due to her understanding and depiction of love and timeless love stories. I'm not saying Taylor is only one-sided, but GaGa tries to do so much with her work and at times can come off as a little overwhelming with everything she is trying to portray. Both are great artists and are massively successful, but I feel like it's much easier for people to understand Taylor through her love stories as opposed to GaGa with her art, music and politics.
Love is timeless and can transpire any movement and any time whereas politics and art have very specific trends and ages they follow. GaGa and Taylor are both masters of their crafts.

That's not strange at all. Taylor has broader appeal in the US because she's country and she has much less appeal worldwide...because she's country. People in Europe have never heard of most country stars even if they are huge in the US

The more I listen to Schiesse, and the more I think about the album as a whole, the more I believe that it should be a single. It has that shock value that would make it stand out from other songs on the radio. I mean come on. Who the heck else would release a song in GERMAN?
Speaking of which, how is the song doing on German iTunes?

It's holding up comparatively well to any of the non singles sans You and I in the US.

I'm waiting for someone to tweet from the video set
But I'm not fascinated by the idea of Darian, Breedlove, SPW etc. being in the video.

Well, if SPW have as small of a role as they did in Telephone, I would not mind.
