Girls flopped. It's on the rise. whether it'll actually become a hit in the future has yet to be seen. But that's just one single out of many.
Britney had a #1 that broke records & then the song dropped off the face of the Earth with underperforming sales.
Britney had another #1 but it was because Rihanna was using Britney's stans just to push her already successful single to the top. That "Rhimix" also dropped off the face of the Earth after the life was sucked out of it.
Britney took a while to go Gold. Her album sales are underperforming. Britney ****in Spears shouldn't have taken this long to go Gold just like Beyonce ****in Knowles shouldn't have a struggling first single.
But Beyonce has more going for her.
For one thing she can actually still perform.
Eventually she'll get a hit song off this album.
She will sale albums, that shouldn't even be questioned.
She's not having a "Bionic" moment. It's obvious from "Girls" rise on iTunes & millions of views on the video on YouTube that people are still showing great interest in her. When Xtina was flopping no one cared if she was on Oprah, American Idol or anywhere else.
You can say Britney is done as a performer & that her album isn't doing so hot, but she still has one single going for her and an upcoming tour & possibly another hit single on the way.

Beyonce fans are cute, now acting like single sales and chart positions don't matter when this WHOLE THREAD is based on single sales, album sales, and chart positions. Face it, Beyonce lived up to the tired and true tradition and her ass was killed off before the opening credits even started.

She can't even go Top 15 with Oprah, American Idol, and Billboard Awards. Hell even Kelly Rowland is doing better and she doesn't have an ounce of promo

I totally disagree.

How can Beyonce murder Britney when her song is falling on the radio and itunes (though it recently jumped to the top 20 due to Idol and the BB Awards)... Even Hold it Against Me, which fell like a rock after it went #1, still outperformed RTW, so far.....


* TTWE has done excellent job radio and sales wise.

* Femme Fatale "underperformed", but it didn't flop.

* But yes, those BB performances were a mess.

* And Britney didn't make forbes this year because she didn't do anything besides Candies and her fragrance line. She'll make it up next year as she is selling tons of tour tickets. And don't tell me Bey didn't do anything either. She has a slew of endorsement deals ranging from Loreal to Nintendo.

But she scored a rather big #4 hit and a hyped-up #11 single before B'Day. Plus, she was returning from a massive solo era and a big DC album (both bigger than ISAF). This time things seem relatively different.
