I guess Gaga finally figured out how to make me buy her new album: by basically giving it away for free. I was honestly debating whether it was worth $5 (what a discount deal for new releases on Amazon MP3 usually costs) to suffer through "Born This Way" and "Judas." Now, I can own the whole shebang for less than what I would have had to pay when I inevitably gave in and bought "Yoü and I" off iTunes. Fantastic!
Maybe, but GaGa's stans are going to have a hard time convincing anyone that her first week sales are credible. Even Keri Hilson could have a #1 album if she was selling it for less than $1.
So basically, if she slays the sales, she's getting no praise. If she doesn't slay, then she's getting shade.
Lady Gaga never wins.
High prices: Singles: Singles artists lower their prices in order to loose sales but get a #1.
Albums: It's not worth that amount of money - she's ripping consumers off.
Low albums: chart manipulation and desperate for money!
They're really trying hard to compete with iTunes.
