It is Amazon's decision. They're losing money but gaining costumers. That's what many companies do when they launch, so people get to know them and their quality, and they stick with them.

I think albums (at least digital) should be sold for this price everywhere including itunes. artist don't make money from record sales anyway. but this way they will get more sales which means more fans, more ticket sales etc.
This whole thing is just hilarious now. I wonder how much money she had to pay to make up for the losses OR if Amazon is just taking advantage of a 'big' release. I'd say it's a 60/40 effort.
