Well, let's look at the bright side. If she breaks a million, she will not only be setting the standard in terms of sales, but also will be remembered for an historic marketing campaign. It's also probably not as obscenely expensive to do all of this as it seems. A lot of deals with major companies like Best Buy and Google probably aren't costing Interscope much of anything at all in terms of cash. I can assure you Google will be paying in full for any of those Chrome commercials. While a lot of these may seem like a reach for album advertisement, the companies a lot of these deals are with make more than the entire worldwide music industry and have plenty to gain with the deals.
