It is ridiculous. I just can't believe people get themselves into that state of mind. Especially when, if they read their Bibles, they would know that God alone knows when the Rapture will be. No man on earth knows, neither does Jesus.

I think Monday is the global release date, it shouldn't be being sold yet in Australia etc.

Lady Gaga Embargo Broken In Australia

Lady Gaga’s ‘Born This Way’ album is already on sale in Australia despite an embargo set to retailers by Universal Music not to sell the album until Monday.

‘Born This Way’ will be released globally on May 25. Retailers received stock today (Friday, May 20) but were embargoed from selling it until the global release date on Monday.

This morning retailers received notification from Universal stating “Another reminder to advise that you are NOT to sell the LADY GA GA Album until the international release date of the 23rd of May which is Monday. Even if you have stock please do NOT sell this product”.

“There is an Embargo letter in the Lady Ga Ga release delivery”.

“Any questions please feel free to ask!”

“Happy selling”

JB Hi-Fi were the first to happily sell the title. It went immediately on sale today. They were the first to break embargo forcing independent retailers to follow suit soon after.

Australia is ahead of the international date line so the American release for ‘Born This Way’ won’t be until May 24 Australian time. Lady Gaga ‘Born This Way’ is officially on sale now in Australia, four full days before its American release.

Lady Gaga fans in Australia should now be able to find the album one sale at most retailers in Australia.

iTunes is completely irrelevant in Japan for both songs and albums.

That said, she will SLAY there. 100k+ in the first week, mark my words. It will debut at #2 at worst. She can easily go #1.

I have a feeling certain tracks will be popular for different reasons:

Marry The Night because it was intended to be the lead single and there is already a lot of hype behind it.
Scheisse because it has received huge critical acclaim and it is known from the Mugler fashion show. In fact I wouldn't be surprised if the Mugler remix from the Special Edition becomes popular.
Government Hooker because it it known from Paris Fashion Week.
You and I for obvious reasons. It is probably her most-performed song from the album so far!

This may be a dead-end question, but is there any way of finding out approximate pre-order numbers before the album is released? I remember Amazon gave out some pre-order information before Susan Boyle's album release...

Very, very rare. Susan Boyle would be an exception because her pre-orders were massive, though I don't remember seeing legit numbers for her. It's really been so long since she slayed. But pre-orders are hardly a bulk of the week's tally.

Yes. When Ke$ha released Animal, Blahx3 went to #1 on iTunes, pushing Tik Tok down to #2.
