It seems to be a toss up among the critics. It seems as though some of them would enjoy the album more but are having a hard time because of her image.
It should be interesting to see what EW gives it. Based on their preview of the album, they didn't seem overly impressed and said that some of it was inconsistent. They usually give stuff A or B.

But I believe a B- is still a 68/100 or something like that.
The Sputnik review shouldn't be included on Metacritic. Not to be ageist, but he's only 20 years old. It'd be nice if they had some experience requirements from the critics they choose to feature on their website.
On top of that he heavily favors indie/rock music. In fact this is the first pop/dance album he's ever reviewed.

Well what can we do except sit back and enjoy the album. But IMO this is her best material so far and really raises the bar for a pop album these days. I hope a lot of people (and more critics who have yet to submit a review) see that.
i atleast need an 80 from this album its her best yet. I cant at some of these critcs not knowing wat to think of Gaga since she jus did a complete 180 wit her music. I bet they was hoping for TheFame monster 5.0 edition
A 70+ is pretty amazing for a pop album Look at 21, it only has a 75. For some one that has as many faults as Gaga there will always be something to find criticism on no matter the quality of the album she makes. I would like it to top TFM score but the image she has at the release of TFM was people still thinking about origami dresses and didnt fully know that Gaga was switching up her image entirely.
