the song is NOT called black jesus.
it's called Black Jesus † Amen Fashion because she couldnt decide which title she likes better, so she put them both.
she said that in an interview that im not bothered to find now.
if it was a huge sign of homage, as you state it to be, she would use BLACK JESUS with no second thoughts whatsoever, the fact there are two titles diminishes the possibility of an homage.
i was never the one to say that something gaga's sounds like someone else's work, i ignored all the btw ey comparisons and i dont even see supposed abba/ace of base influence on alejandro.
yet i say one thing and you come to me with an extremely disappointing attitude.
YES. both Black Jesus † Amen Fashion and Fashion Of His Love sound like something that's been done, madonna and whitney.
YES, ive stated several times how i love them both.
now get the **** out of my eye sight.

Um... the quote is in direct response to a question about the comparisons between Born This Way and Express Yourself. She's saying when she does an homage, she lets everyone know. Black Jesus is an homage. The title including "Black Jesus" lets everyone know.

I don't want to download the entire album on this laptop, because it breaks if I try to do more than one thing at a time (I'm putting off getting a new laptop until I go to uni in October )

Judas > Bad Romance

I don't think she needs a huge radio hit for this album to sell shitloads. Taylor Swift didn't.

Seriously, though, it really is better overall. The overall concept goes much better than that of TFM for me. Bad Romance and DITD were always the songs that, when I thought of the album, made me think it was my favourite album ever. Trust me, until today, it was my favourite album ever. But now Scheiße has just blown Bad Romance out of the water and tracks like Marry The Night, Government Hooker and Bloody Mary are so much more interesting than those on TFM. To be honest, I am someone who prefers listening to music that challenges me, not music that simply entertains me. TFM was half-way between the two. BTW takes it to the next level. Just my two cents
|
Completely agree. I think that what separates BTW and makes it better is how it really fuses together music from different genres and different decades. There really isn't any thing "simple" about it like The Fame.
