Anyone who thinks The Examiner is a credible source deserves a baseball bat to the head. He's as moronic as that tragic **** Monroe and her page-long essays.
This album is all over the place. It has some clunky songs (Hair, Bad Kids, Highway Unicorn, Judas) and some refreshing ones (MTN, GH, Electric Chapel, HML, Bloody Mary, Scheibe). None of them are commercial - they won't be radio/digital hits. Not sure what she was thinking; she's a huge commercial pop star after all. I'm not suggesting she should develop scraped knees and lose her gag reflex to score big singles like her pop competition, but she should have aim for some balance. Anyway, the album doesn't represent the Gaga I fell in love with 3 years ago, but it's her life/career.
Bye.

That Sputnikmusic is the worst review I have ever read. They are so inaccurate , they misquoted lyrics. They even said Gagas 'flame is burning out' I beg to differ... As for that London paper , its clear the reviewer dislikes the dance sound of the album. A legitimate opinion, though irrelevant. But I can't @ that sputnikmusic review

So of the reviews counted in Metacritic, she has NME (8/10), Slant (4/5), Sputnik (2/5), and the Guardian (4/5).
From EW:
Quote:
We’ve listened to the album (full review coming soon) and our first impression? It’s an inconsistent blend of icy techno-pop and greeting-card empowerment that’s more a triumph of production than songwriting.
Giorgio Moroder should be credited as “Producer in Spirit,” especially on synthy, electro-glockenspiel-laden tracks like “Marry the Night,” even if it seems to be more the Moroder of “Flashdance…What a Feeling!” than “Cat People (Putting Out the Fire).”
Whether Born This Way‘s moments of genuine ambition (“Government Hooker,” “You and I,” “Judas”) will resonate with the Gaga faithful as strongly as ’80s throwbacks like “Hair” or “The Edge of Glory,” which just scored her her second-highest Billboard Hot 100 debut ever, remains to be seen—and with a career now pitched somewhere between true innovation and shameless pandering, could decisively determine her future direction.

I don't think their review is going to be positive. C+/B- maybe.

They gave FF a 3.5, Pink Friday a 2, and Em's Recovery a 1.5.
