Not exactly, for the past couple weeks Katy's always bounced back during the weekend, a period wherein sales are more in volume than the weekdays, and there's also the remixes that have sold around 15K which iTunes doesn't account for. That's how she managed to still sell more copies than ADELE last week. Even though RITD is gaining huge on radio, it's not like E.T.'s getting miniscule updates itself. So no, it's not guaranteed, but RITD has a much bigger chance this week than last week. I'd say her chances doubled.
Katy is still lurking hard. But I hope you're right.
