My thoughts exactly hun.
Everyone wants a summer single, how much more summer can you get than the Big Fat Bass? It's like 'Boom Boom Bow' went to a fertility clinic, went to a club later that night, ****ed 'OMG' on the first date - got pregnant with a super child and now they are ready to deliver.
Everyone wants a single that can stay in the Top 3 with no promotion -- yet when we're finally about to get it, you want I Wanna Go to be released so it can pull an If U Seek Amy and hover around the (15-20 range).
For some reason, will.i.am hits with summer singles. He did in 2009, 10 -- and now it's Britney's turn in 2011.
As I said -- The Big Fat Bass is not a song. It's all hooks. A giant orgy of hooks crafted from God. If that song doesn't catch on, then I don't know what will.
It seems like the public likes autotuney as well....case and point, '3'...which is very underrated in terms of performance.
I could even see The Big Fat Bass getting some urban love.....and the clubs in summer will EAT. THIS. UP.
I really think that I Wanna Go is too dated.
