Her singles are usually performing like this. And the song has no general public exposure. It was rushed to radio and iTunes. Let's wait for video, bigger airplay and some performances. First weeks means nothing.

A lot of her casual fans are urban listeners that aren't iTunes buyers. They buy physical CDs.

Some Beyoncé stans are petty too. Like when Video Phone's remix dropped on iTunes on some random ass EP with no prior announcement from the label no one wanted to buy it because GaGa was on it.

The truth has to be told: Beyoncé fans rarely buy singles.
You can ask around here who bought CIL, DV, IIWAB digitally or phisically and I'm sure less than 50% of her fans have. I know I haven't! But I bought all her albums except IASF twice (not because I'm a crazy fan but because my 1st copy of DIL got old and I bought the two B'Day editions).

For most of us, it was the 1st time we try to purchase something on Itunes, but I don't think most of Bey fans followed that lead.
Her fans are more of album buyers than singles.

When her songs go to the top, it's because she met the expectation of the general public. And so far this song hasn't done that. Deja Vu is the perfect example, yet the 1st week sales of B'Day was not bad.

I think this will pick up nicely once the video drops...

Everyone knows there are no performers like Beyoncé out there... she makes people fall in love with her song once they see her performing it with a passion...

She needs to get her ass promote now. The gap between songs in the top 10 isn't huge at all. As you can see ke$ha can jump back to #7 from nowhere by performing at an irrelevant tv show so beyonce obviously can do it better.
