1. Simply put, YES. The public craving for new GaGa music was palpable. (same for Britney)
2. SL the video =/= SL the song
3. By the most basic logic, i'm grouping anyone willing to immediately buy a single based on a brand new 30 sec clip as a "fan". Even still, that would attest to the size of the artists fan base, which is equally if not more important.

Basically, it's fine if people are ok with "Run the World"'s performace on Itunes, but it speaks volumes when you have to consistently portray the perceived competition in a negative light to validate those feelings of content.

lol your logic really fails.. so basically all people did was crave a SONG from Britney but they didn't crave her enough to buy the album..hence poor sales.. so which is it?
And you can save all that shade about presence because Beyonce has the biggest presence in the industry than anyone else. It's all about PROMO gaga has been promoting BTW since 2010 and Britney was all over twitter and had help by other outlets like Ryan Seacrest to promote. No one outside of the stanbases knew Beyonce was releasing material so YES she is doing really well considering she has yet to speak on the album let alone the new single that is out.
