The song is already almost Top 20 on Pop & overall. It's selling for more than it's name. She's been hyping it, slightly, for the last 3-4 weeks, and the rush-release was all the hype this day last week. It's just not doing as good as expected, and disappointing.

As Cap10Planet said, it's also just the natural response after many of her stans were hyping it to be a huge smash. This includes all the avatars of "Judas - 4.19.11" and being increasingly pestering about the success it would have.

I do love the song, BTW. Just giving honest response. Certainly when she promotes it should help return.

Judas is still doing fantastic, just not as good as expected. isn't it the second fastest selling song on itunes ever after born this way? I mean the time it took for the song to reach number one.

Egg on my face i guess . I was under the impression that JUDAS was having big updates but was not yet established overall. But the second paragrapgh is petty, and has way more to do with atrl promotion than any erroneous claims.


EDIT: Anyway, JUDAS is doing fine as it's selling faster than most everyone's second single as well as Beyonce's first, so it's slightly annoying to see people trying to paint it a flop

By no means should it be deemed a flop, either. Especially within it's first week.

E.T. sold 2,4 million and it's 2 month old so of course her performance won't have that much effect on sales like J.Lo.'s for example. I do agree that performance was remixed a bit too much.

born this way was hyped since september (!) and though it didn't have promo like performances, it had amazing online marketing, that facebook event with 300000 people being one of them. and it also wasn't rush-released

I knew "Judas" wouldn't be smashing right of the gate like some people were proclaiming. It didn't have nearly as much hype as BTW (her fans said it did), it's the second single, and it's not very good (but of course that's subjective).

Born This Way had huge hype, and had a performance 3 days after its release. Plus, it got GIGANTIC radio updates. While Judas didn't have half BTW's hype, no promotion so far, and it's radio updates are kinda "normal" next to Born This Way's. And it's a second single. Give it some time.

BTW sold entirely off of hype, which may end up being a double ended sword, seeing as it underwhelmed many listeners and (imo) managed to kill a lot of the organic hype around the album. Hopefully she'll be able to recreate that sense of yearning with the Judas promotion.
