The simple fact that everyone is missing is that this single was completely unexpected. The demo didn't even get a chance to hit the big media outlets (Good Job Stans) No one got OFFICIAL conformation that this was even the first single until yesterday evening. Hell, we still don't have confirmation that an album is even coming. Beyoncé debuted a single and she's still vacationing. The pressed folk in this thread are just gonna have to accept this.

For The IASF era, how many singles went straight to number 1 on itunes?, How many number 1s did she had Hot 100? How many singles flop by some standards? How many albums were sold? How many awards she won? What about her tour?
Beyonce is not like the others girls. She never does exceptionally well on itunes and her songs might just peak in the top 10, but the good thing is that the charts positions never affect the success she has every era - infact she gets bigger and bigger with every era. I mean if her singles skyrocket to number 1, I'll be happy but it like an added bonus, its just that important for an artist like Beyonce. I never get the feeling that she depends on it anyway or it matters to her. Thats just my opinion.
I expected it to climb slowly. As single ladies did. But look at how that turned out out. HMMM. But the song is diff so its gonna stall a bit. Its not like the other electro crap above it so its expected to perform slowly. i said this before it even released. People not used to it cause it so diff there trapped in all that other music that sounds the damn same, YES gaga, kesha, britney and all that other autotune mess. But just give it time then wen the promo and video drops all the negativity will dramatically change i assure you.
Why are people, especially the trolls, keep trying to make an argument about what the song is doing? You act as if there are still not opportunities for it to climb up over the weekend or when the video, promo or airplay starts picking up. There is no time limit on when a song can go #1 on itunes. Look at Adele. You are going to look foolish when/if the song does.
