Is she really going to deny the Express Yourself influence? How do you accidentally stumble upon a very similar melody?
Honestly, I've always had trouble hearing the similarity beyond the chord progression, but even any melodic similarities could have been subconscious on her part in the composing process.

I thought about the subconscious thing. It could have been something that she was influenced by but didn't deliberately copy.
Then again, the "Hey hey hey" in Express Yourself is present in BTW. I have a hard time believing her.
Oh my God they were so rude to her in that article I have always hated NME.
I don't think they were rude, that was the most obvious issue regarding Born This Way so I think it was fair to address it. Plus it was good reading her reaction to it and witnessing how human she is.

I actually love NME for this kind of reason.
They don't censor, nor do they beat around the bush. It makes for an interesting interview and if they annoyed her as much as some people seem to think they did, she would have told them to **** off and left the interview.

Err, yes, I meant that the person who write the article clearly didn't like her. They were right to address the comparison.

Yes, that is admirable. I just find them incessantly rude to everybody. But that's just my opinion, I've never liked NME. It was interesting to read her reaction, that's for sure.
She's still thinking of adding songs to her new album and it's out in six weeks. It will only be finished, she half-jokes, "when you pry it from my cold dead hands".
I'm overly excited for You & I, I want it to be a promo single so everyone can see the amazingness of it
