hey everyone
i seriously dont understand how judas is blasphemous. im pretty religious myself but i dont even see what is offensive with the lyrics. here in australia, they dedicated a segment on a morning show to it talking about the so called 'blasphemy'. cant people understand that it is just a metaphor? i guess gaga is getting free promo everywhere lol.

BTW is sooooooo underrated on this forum. It spent 6 weeks at #1 yet nobody seems to acknowledge what a good song it is.

Born This Way ***** on careers and hopefully one day, years from now or maybe even just after the album comes out, people will realize it's an absolutely incredible song and not "her worst single ever."

I loved it but when I want to listen to it now, it sounds so boring compared to Judas.

It really isnt blasphemous. She is just using the allusion of Judas as a metaphor for deceit. Just like how so many novels allude to God, Jesus, The Garden of Eden, Judas, alllllllll the time. Allusions to the bible are always being made and for years they couldnt be found in libraries in conservative states because they are "blasphemous"

Once a controversial artist mentions religion people automatically assume its blasphemous...theyre the holy fools not being able to actually decipher a meaning of text/lyrics

I don't think it sounds boring. It certainly sounds slower and less intense, but something about the simplicity of the song and the power it has it amazing. And I'll stick by what I have said since it came out that 2:40-4:20 in Born This Way is one of the greatest moments in pop history.

exactly. sometimes it baffles me that people take things too literally and that they cant use their brain to work out the meaning behind the lyrics. like someone else said, its also funny and sad that that donohue guy doesnt have any other issues to deal with but focuses his attention on a song that isnt even blasphemous in the first place. there are many more worse things he should be worried about.

There will be the TRL awards tomorrow in Florence, and they will project the show on the front of a basilica.

Of course, if she wins, they'll have to project images of Lady Gaga, but they really don't wanna project them, some politicians said it's blasphemous.

So, if they project some videos of her, they must respect everybody's religions.
