I remember that and, I also remember them explaining that every year the town treats the anniversary of the Woodsboro murders like Halloween they embraced it and it became an event i think that would have been cool to see and i think the film's opening kill should have been at the Stabathon .

The movie made 49.2 million overall so that's extremely good and i think the chances for a 5 are positive if all parties involved want to do it. But please let Kevin have complete script control !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

The thing is, there was an announcement that part of the new cast would carry on a new trilogy, so I'm reading a lot of posts around the web that Kirby could have survived, like that girl on the Halloween remake who everybody thought was dead.

I think that would be a smart move because we never saw Kirby's body and her wound were similar to Sidney's, and of course, she was clearly the best new character with Marley Shelton's deputy.

I don't wanna keep my hope too high tho, I don't know if Dewey would tell Jill at the hospital that she was alive, just after she said Kirby's name he shushed her.

^ Yeah, Lucy Hale said she originally got offered a main part that would be back for Scream 5, so the only character really is Kirby. Sidney got it just as bad, if not worse than her, so I hope she made it.

Actually Trevor was a lil bit of Neil Prescott from Scream right down to him being hog tied in the closet and they even had on the same outfit did anyone else notice

This would have been better, the only good bit about the reshot version is Ghostface jumping on the car bonnet, but even that wasn't as scary as they could have made it. WTF did she even get out of the car for?

I liked the new scene regarding Rebecca. It was one of the only deaths in S4 that was suspenseful. The car alarms going off seems very fake and less tension-filled to me.

She left her car because she had nothing left to do. Should she have just waited until Ghostface smashed in a window, causing her to run out anyway?

Also, it was a call back to Sidney being in the car in Scream 1.

Originally, the Stab-a-Thon was planned on being a bigger event. Everyone in Woodsboro was basically obsessed with the Stab thing, and partook in "Murder Week." Gale was originally supposed to chase down the killer at Stab-a-Thon, only to have him run into a crowd of people also wearing the same costume, letting him get away.

Also, I think they can have Kirby live in S5, if they do this...

Being a big horror fan, and similar to Randy in Scream 1, Kirby knows the rules. She knows that because she survived, she will likely be the new victim, which caused her not to have her name released as surviving the incident. They can have her and her family move away, and still pretending she's dead. That can be the excuse as to why Dewey never corrected Jill. Either he doesn't know she's alive, or he's agreed to Kirby's fake death. Like in S3, Kirby lives off the map, no one knowing her whereabouts until the new GhostFace - someone who knows she's alive - tracks her down.

I think it could put a new spin on things. As opposed to Jill, who WANTED to be the new Sidney, Kirby instead is desperately trying not to suffer the same torture Sid went through. I also think it'd be interesting to have the person who knows "the rules" to be the main character/victim in the movie.

After killings start surrounding Kirby in a new town (probably her family and few friends - that can make up parents and a sibling or two), Sidney, Gale, and Dewey realize she's alive, and it's happening again, going to save her.

It can end with Sidney dying at the end, somehow letting herself be killed in order to save Kirby (aka the new Sidney). That way, Sid can die in a manner that's not insulting to her strong character, and the movies can go on without being ultra repetitive by letting the core 3 survive for a 5th time.

I wonder if the footage of the kills will play a part of Scream 5 . I mean the killer could find the footage and decides he wants to make a real life sequel, I think that could be the running theme of the trilogy.
