I'm contributing to the conversation at hand. If you don't like it, you can cry and die.

Isn't she riding the nothing-can-go-wrong wave? I just mentioned her as an example because she was the first that came to my mind and seems like she's actually doing well what Rihanna and Def Jam couldn't.

They're both doing amazingly and are having two very successful eras simultaneously! Why the absolute need to say one is doing better than the other?

That's like asking a fat man does he want some cake but he says he's on a diet. They would deny it when they know it's the truth.

What numbers? She's selling fine.
I'd be worried if she was pulling a Flo Rida where "Low" or "Right Round" or Taio's "Dynamite" or "Break Your Heart" were huge and their albums sold close to 200k or 300k. That's a singles artists not someone that sold over a million copies (2010 PEOPLE, there only few exceptions selling huge numbers) and 4 million WW.

We wouldn't have this kind of discussions if her U.S. success matched that of the UK. It's as simple as that.

Nah, I don't think shes on the "Nothing can go wrong" wave at all. She has a slew of promo coming up, with performances such as Idol finale. Even further promotion for The Fame Monster in form of an HBO special airing early may, centered around The Monster Ball. Shes been extremely busy, but she is never resting, she isn't on that wave

Eh, I hate how either stanbase tries to say one is doing better than the other. Loud is only a bit under 4 million, while Teenage Dream is at 3.1 million. Her fans keep acting like this some major indication of being a huge worldwide seller, when it reality it's just the overt success the album's having in the UK. Otherwise they are on the same level, with Katy slightly edging out because all her singles do amazing.

You're NOT getting it. The nothing-can-go-wrong way is not about promotion.

I would hope after 9 #1 singles, proper backing, publicity, over a half of decade in the game, etc. she wouldn't be doing Taio Cruz or Flo Rida type numbers.

She's NOT doing Flo-Rida/Taio Cruz numbers, from WHERE are you getting that idea?

I said, I would hope she's not doing those type of numbers (in response to Beatz's comment). I never said she was doing those numbers.

I would think if an artist(label) is on said wave, they wouldn't put much effort into promotion. Correct me if I'm wrong, but if she was on the nothing can go wrong way, wouldn't she just sit back and watch the show? Rather then get up and promote.
If I'm still missing this, please enlighten me

It's about the SONGS and TACTICS she's doing. First a song about trannies, cholas and Lebanese now this religion slap in the face, this things would hurt anyone but are not hurting Gaga because she's at her "creative peak" but eventually she'll need to stop pulling these stunts and gimmicks 'cause it might, and I'm saying might, end her career.

I have given several arguments as to why I think Rihanna is a "singles artist," but YOU and others choose to ignore it. That's not my problem if you girls take what I say the wrong way or dust it off as if I'm trying to shade your favorites.
