Lies. Katy Perry has been on every major show 5x for each single, and still with the usual sales of today. Femme Fatale stands alone as far as it's music goes, you cannot make yourself believe otherwise. The critics agree. The reason it doesn't stand out is lack of interest and hype. Animal hasn't sold a lot, but just good. Teenage Dream is selling fairly well. But just like Loud, she has a sales cap that she never goes above, no matter how good the current single's doing. Also, since the performances & music video, "TTWE" has boosted severely back into the Top 10 & the song has been consistent on radio -- repeaking inside the Top 10. Don't get how that's worrying.
Now you were saying.
MGRANT said it. The public isn't interested, if Britney isn't able to live up to the standards she once had. And if they aren't going to try harder to make up for that. It's something we've all known & should've realized by now, so I don't understand the breakdowns.

Of course there's a lack of public interest, otherwise her sales would be longer-lasting & larger. However, her sales would also be helped if the singles were doing better. TTWE is doing fine but certainly not enough to hardly make an impact on the album's longetivity for the type of song it is.
Katy had all that promo but Teenage Dream would've still had longetivity. It had healthy second and third week drops. Animal is the same story but with smaller numbers. They would've done well with or without the promo. I think those two albums & Femme Fatale also all have numerous things in common (which isn't a diss by me to downgrade Femme Fatale's quality), which is why I'm comparing it to them. It's not standing out against its competition in the pop field, or the music field in general.
