She didn't say BTW is the best song of the decade, she said BTW the album is the best album of the decade. GaGa is known for hyping everything ridiculously but apparently it's paying off, & getting her millions more sales & weeks atop the Hot 100 & UWC charts (both which she broke records on multiple times in multiple weeks). I'm pretty sure it will end up being one of the weakest songs on the record. That being said, it's still going to manage to go 3x platinum (the promo isn't done yet) & it spent 6 weeks atop the Top 100 already.
I don't get it. Where's the disappointment? Where's the lack of longetivity?

You know I love you And yes, you confirmed my statement that there were stans that were saying that. Thank you for that.
It's not disappointing, i was just making an observation. That is all

Now the question is, ugly blue font.... Will S&M Remain Number 1 for 6 Weeks.
Or, for that matter, will any Rihanna song achieve that ever again.
Because Rihanna can keep her Number ones, that combined should be about half of BTW's total run at the Number 1 spot.
Yet Born This Way was the flop...

Ridiculous predictions are always made for certain songs. Anyone could've guessed the song wasn't going to keep selling 300K+ a week, & the sales had nowhere to go but down. BTW is the first example I've ever seen where its AI peaked way too early, which has faltered its longetivity. None of that is GaGa's fault though. She did all she could, & I think the song performed to its maximum potential (which is excellent, by the way). It truly is her worst single to date, even though I like it. I imagine it having final sales like Paparazzi. For a first single, that's really great. Not everyone can have a California Gurls as their first single.
* Even though the longetivity of it was faltered, it still had/has longetivity. Ten weeks in & still going.

Who said BTW was a flop sweetie? Didnt mean to cause you to be so upset by my careful observations
Rihanna will have more weeks at #1 for her future songs. Trust and believe that, honey.

Umbrella and LTWYL -only two of her number ones mind you- stayed at the top for a combined 14 weeks, seven each. So.... No. #try again

I misconstrued your words? You said having the Kanye remix gave E.T. an "unfair advantage" in comparison to the other songs. Now S&M has a remix with a much bigger star, but this is now not an "unfair advantage" compared to the other songs that lack the benefit of a remix with a major star? I mean, gosh, we can't really make a fair comparison with JCGE unless BEP got to drop a remix with Gaga tomorrow. Maybe they could have gotten #1. Poor them.
And if the receipts aren't too hard to find I guess I'll just be sittin tight until you produce them. Fellow "fans" means plural as well, not some singular fringe opinion, so be sure to give me at least two or three sources. Thanks! (Of course even then that would be a far cry from a common prediction, but I figure I'd cut you some slack.)

Not too much on Rihanna's #1. Let's remember how many weeks her hits have spent inside the Top 10. She always brings longetivity on her side.

More power to Rihanna and her ability to snatch those #1s. I'm just here for consistency, not hypocrisy.

Gotta love collaborations.
And I know Rihanna has done it before, I never said she hasn't.
The question is will she ever do it again, since her last 2 singles have each only spent 1 week at Number 1,
and that will likely be the case with S&M as well.

Just putting it out there, that if S&M does indeed go number one Rihanna will have 33 combined weeks at the top.

I know.
The E.T./S&M releases are now a complete mess So many wars on whether the #1s are deserved are not are gonna continue breaking out. Honestly, both Capitol & Def Jam are playing dirty as hell, & I don't like the release tactic, but whatever. That's just the music industry, they aren't breaking any rules.
S&M was having such a lovely chart run on Rihanna's own merit though I would love to see how E.T. would've done without the remix out of curiosity.

Well...to be fair, Gaga's only had 3 #1's. One spent 3 weeks at number 1, and PF only spent 1 week @ number one...that's not amazingly impressive, either.
But, you do have a point about those sales
EDIT: you never mentioned sales....your point is null and void
Rude Boy spent 5 weeks, Umbrella spent 6 I think...LTWYL counts just as much as Chilin did! oh, too soon

I think Rihanna/Brit fans might be in for a disappointment if they expect S&M to go #1 on billboard this week. E.T. still has a 30% pop bar difference on S&M and even a larger gap for a full day of sales.
