It's going to get there eventually, just not for a wwwhhhillle.
Of course this is an obvious, blatant move to get Rihanna her 10th #1. I'm not the biggest fan of artists remixing their songs when convenient to get the song extra sales & higher Billboard positions, but it is what it is. Def Jam is playing dirty just like Capitol currently is.
S&M's success is going to be downgraded by certain people because of this move, which is understandable. However, it was going to sell a garaunteed minimum of 2.5 million on its own, & it's already yet another Top 2 hit for her & yet another radio #1. It's a smash by Rihanna's merit alone at the moment, until this weeks numbers come in.
*OFF-TOPiC - I saw you said TTWE could've gone #1 with a better release. I don't really think so. It never hit #1 digitally once & didn't even sell 300K in 10 days of sales. Obviously repression would've helped it but not enough to get it all the way to #1.*
