She's both, her singles do perform better but she's an album artist too, at least she can sell 200k+ thats good enough for me.

Care to elaborate why is Rihanna singles artists?
She has sold millions of albums and LOUD is close to 4 million worldwide and it's 1x platinum in the US.
Do you know how many albums went platinum in recent times?
and do you really know the definition of a singles artist? it's not like she sold only 250,000 copies of LOUD, Rated R, GGGB or AGLM.
I think your posts are always kind of neutral but this is delusion.

No, it's not delusion.
Since her debut, she has sold only 6 million units+ in the U.S. and has had tons of promo, hype, hits and other stuff in her favor. Her album sales should be MUCH MUCH better than that. She's six years deep in the game and is considered one of the biggest pop stars of our time, yet her album sales, at least in the U.S., don't reflect that.
Is she the worst seller or on the same level as Taio Cruz? NO, not at all. Her numbers are decent, but if you take into consideration all the stuff that she has in her favor, then yes, she is a "singles artist." She's just a much better seller than some of the "singles artists" we see today. Her singles success is much better than her albums success. At this point of her career, she should be selling more and competing with the likes of Beyonce, Lady GaGa and Eminem, but she's not. Rihanna is being compared to relatively new artists (Katy, Ke$ha, etc.).
And people need to stop jumping down my throat. I am not the first person to call Rihanna a "singles artist." It has been said many times before by many people, yet I get jumped on.

We're only talking about U.S. right now. I'm not concerned about anywhere else in the world, and if you go back to one of the earlier posts on the previous page, I acknowledged that Rihanna has better support outside of the U.S. So, it's not like I'm totally dismissing her worldwide success. The argument was mainly about her U.S. support. This is a U.S. album thread after all.

You were blunt, though I don't think anything you said was reportable. The tea is just too hot for some tongues in here.
And I'm glad Mumford is doing so well. Hopefully they'll be able to get to 2x platinum eventually, this seems like the type of album that'll be a good catalog seller.

No shade but Rihanna is just mediocare at both in the US. Only Girl, Whats My Name, and Rude Boy will all end up at 3x platinum...should be more for a singles seller

Loud will do at least 3 M (US) , 3M (UK) with a re-release. Read it. Bookmark it. And message me when the campaign is complete.

You tell me, some people here seem to dislike him.
I can see Loud doing 3M in the UK with a re-release, especially since it's still top 5. The US, though? I'm not counting on it. But I guess it depends on how many singles they release from it.

Math time!
Loud is sitting around 1.2 M now, before re-release it will be sitting around 1.6-1.8M by 4th quarter with CKB, Cheers and Man Down which are bonafide smashes
GGGB had 2 extra singles. Loud is getting at least 5-6 more songs.
Do the math.

The fact that Rihanna doesn't sell past 3 million in single sales should prove that she is not a singles artist.
A SINGLES artist is someone who sells SINGLES. See Far East Movement, Taio Cruz, ect.
An ALBUM artist is someone who sells ALBUMS. See Susan Boyle, Country acts, ect.
Rihanna is obviously somewhere in between. She has sold roughly 7 million singles to 1 million albums, which in this day and age isn't a bad ratio. Far from ideal, but who besides Gaga sells both singles and albums? Other Stars like Katy are at a 10.5:1 ratio, and for the Fame Monster, (If I did my calculations correctly ) Gaga is at 25:5.5 for her ratio of singles to albums.
