Not sure if this was posted here, but... It's a good read. So, there you go:

When Britney isnt working and all we get is a Starbucks run here or there or perhaps a shot of her at her kid’s baseball game, everyone is all “ews and ahs” over seeing her - even doing mundane things.

Fans hold their breath waiting to see what Britney is working on and cant wait to hear new music from her. Days are spent speculating what the album vibe will be, who will produce it, how many songs they’ll be lucky to get, what promos will be lined up and anticipated photoshoots of the Queen herself.

When Britney isnt working and fans are waiting on an era, they spend countless hours a day speculating song titles and stalking music writer’s twitter accounts for the slightest hint to what Britney may be up to. Hundreds of fans tweet and message her producers, choreographers, song writers and her managers round’ the clock - all in an effort to find out what Britney is working on.

“Please, Adam! We fans deserve to know what Britney is doing. Please give us an update!!”

The anticipation is palpable across the interwebs. The excitement that Britney is indeed making a 7th album is all people can talk about. It’s an exciting time for Britney fans. New music, possible performances, maybe we’ll even get a tour!! is all you hear.

But then put Britney in an era where she’s actually WORKING and its nothing but slander and abuse against the popstar.

Look at any gossip website and you’ll see constant articles about Britney using dance doubles and faking her work in videos, being too controlled by her management, fan forums ripping her team apart on a 24/7 NEVER ENDING basis and tweets all speculating WHY SHE CANT DANCE anymore.

“That Good Morning America performance was awful”, “OMG Britney barely moved on stage in Vegas”, “Britney, RETIRE!”, “More lip syncing & no dancing. Sigh.” “Britney is not back, its sad!” “Britney’s management is killing her!”

Those are just a few of the comments I’ve seen - from her own fans. It goes on around the clock.

“Britney cant write her own music, Britney cant dance anymore, Britney the popstar is a lie. Doubles are used for everything - will she use doubles on tour?! Myah Marie does all the singing on Britney’s albums, not Britney. Britney’s team and managers are ****ing useless. Britney’s dad is money hungry & working her like a circus monkey. Britney doesnt even know what her own website says.”

Back when I had about 3 readers I really enjoyed writing about Britney because it was pure and from the heart. People came and we discussed how Britney was doing, whether she was improving - mentally - and how we hoped the best for her. Nowadays while more people visit the site, I find myself using 90% of my time trying to defend her or stand up for what she may or may not be doing. Not because I know anything more than you do, but because I generally rely on common sense for most things in life and I dont freeze frame videos down to the millisecond so I can catch Britney doing or not doing something — so I can slander her or her lack of ability to dance like a true pop star anymore.

I like writing about Britney the human being - the fighter- and I adore her VOICE.

Her personality and sensitivity are what I love about her. The fact that she never badmouths a single soul makes me adore her.

Her shyness - even at her level is something I am constantly amazed at.

Her ability to come back - AT ALL after all she’s been through makes me accomplish things through her strength.

Her determination sometimes brings me to tears.

I find the human behind the brand a total inspiration.

To be honest I really dont give a **** about her concerts, weather a song leaked or if she used a body double in a music video. I dont even do concerts so what the **** do I care. Sure it bothers those fans who do like to dissect her every move and are veteran concert goers, but somehow it seems no matter what Britney does, she cant win. Everyone wants 2003ney back and its all they focus on. Real ALIVE Britney is before their eyes still working, but it doesnt matter.

There are two types of fans in this world. Those who obsess and those who observe. Obsessive fans are not something I enjoy dealing with or writing about. They are generally the ones who claim to love her more than life itself but are usually the first to rip Britney to shreds.

Maybe its because they are so passionate about her or they feel like they’ve invested their entire life in her. It’s like the old standard of bashing your own mother but if someone else does you will go all in. This type of fandom is what I think is at the heart of killing Britney, the icon. Britney’s own fans whether they believe it or not are far worse on her than any nonfan.

It’s healthy to discuss your idol. It’s hilarious to say “your favs could never” and make Britney gifs.

It’s fun to dissect her life & have interesting debate, but there’s a limit to anything - and for many, tearing her down is a sport for them. They really enjoy it underneath it all & dont even realize it. They dont care about the human being behind the popstar as much as they think they do. If she cant perform at a level reminiscent to 2001 then they’ll be the first to turn on her - NO MATTER HOW MUCH THEY LOVE THIS LATEST ALBUM. And people DO love it. A lot.

The media is like a super fan. They love being the first to say Britney didnt write her own songs or was auto-tuned to death in her latest album - to within an inch of her life. The media wants to resurrect sad fragile Britney and to throw shade at her conservatorship and family. It helps them to keep the sad fragile Britney train going and the stories being sold. A sad messed up Britney is money.

Britney herself, fortunately, is probably totally unaware of all that is being said about her. Surely she’s focused on getting her job done as an artist - whatever some may believe her actual involvement in it is.

Britney herself is probably trying to be the best mother she can be, still deliver music for her fans and work on keeping her life balanced. Britney obviously isnt 100% yet otherwise there would be no conservatorship. Ask some fans and she should be out of the cship - and is nothing more than a sad little puppet whose merely the face of a brand - a brand that wants to use her identity to rake in a fortune, while sad fragile Britney still isnt even capable enough to run her own life.

The overplayed saying by fans of;

"If she can record and perform then why is she still under a conservatorship?!? Free Britney!!!"

Yet those same fans question why she needs a dance double or cant do a sit down interview. Maybe you’ve answered your own questions.

The truth of the matter is that people will never “Leave Britney alone”. She will be the topic of what happens to an overexposed star for the rest of her life. If Britney went away tomorrow off into obscurity to live a quiet life with her children, people would speculate that she has turned into a sad former shell of Britney pre-2007. If Britney stays then the public ridicules her dancing ability and level of involvement in her own career.

Britney truly cannot win. Even with a Rolling Stone’s 4 out of 5 stars for her latest work, this is the cruelest era on Britney I’ve ever seen. So. Spend your time ripping her every move to shreds and judging her personal life or what her family’s intentions are. I’m sure you’ll celebrate her plenty when she’s gone.

I read the article... It was very interesting and definitely gave me some different insight looks into it for sure.

Its true, Brit's worst enemy isn't other singers, other singers fans or anybody but her "hardcore" fans themselves. Especially in modern times everybody has a computer and for some strange reason so many people post negative comments solely just bc they can. Its so sad.

The question that always gets unanswered is why can't Brit fans be happy? I'm not sure myself. I think alot of ppl need to realize Is that Brit isnt 19 anymore... She's 29 years old. The woman has been through so much in her life. You can't expect someone that cameback from having two kids and a breakdown, to put on a slave 4 u 2001 performance. Its not gonna happen. How many 29 year old women that have had two kids can even go out and dance to hiam or ttwe choreography? I definitely don't know too many.

Plus this era honestly has been really good. I mean look at the take off of hiam. It broke digital and radio records!! And yet nobody seems to even acknowledge that. It just gets shredded up and comments get thrown like "she didn't dance the breakdown" or "Brian can't teach Brit how to dance" and blah blah blah. Which is stupid bc this is the best era Brit has danced since in the zone. But yet nobody gives her props for that it's always the negative small lil things that get viewed.

Honestly if Brit could debut at number 1 and could stay there for a whole entire year, someone wouldn't be happy bc of some stupid lil thing that has been completely blown out of proportion. It angers me that some fans go out of there way to ruin other fans happiness...
