I didn't mean that, I said that femme fatale was basically released in the second quater with only 3 days in the first (the 29th, 30th and 31st).
and just logically, why would sales in May differ from sales in March? sales are higher in oct-dec because people get albums for holidays, while sales in jan-early feb are lower for the opposite reason. sales in other months are the same.
The sales could've been better had Jive handled this era more carefully (promo etc.). But, either way these numbers are good & it gives her another #1 album. All those records are so beautiful.

LMAO gaga would still sell 500k+ if she would release her album in MARCH, stop making up excuses..this is just hilarious.
Gaga is the IT popstar right now on her third album. Britney is 13 years into her career, on her 7th studio album, doing half ass performances and still pulls 278k out. Please Sit.
It's a 2-way street. A lot of it comes from her stans who brag incessantly that she can do 500k with zero promo while eating Cheetos at home, just because it's Britney bitch. That's partly why 278k may seem low to some of her haters.
Complete agreement.

IKR ???
a music veteran like her can still pull these numbers despite being in the most fickle industry for over a decade. I thought some people are gonna be a little more appreciative considering that she's giving hope to their faves.
You can just look at the sales from the periods in question. Sales generally run higher later on within the year period and it's very much known the the first sales quarter has lower sales in general. As to your point on Britney's sales from the second quarter what does that have to do with anything? Besides the fact that it's not true. Britney only released one album before Fatale in the first quarter and that was her debut which sold around 120-160k.
Her biggest sales week came from the second quarter of May, 2000 with 1.3 million. For further proof Circus sold 1 million copies just with December sales and it took her until March of 09' to reach 1.5 million. That in itself kind of proves that sales periods get bigger as the months get later in the year.
