She had critics buzzing about it and at the end of the day its about Quality and this album is deffinitly Great No better then that Its Amazing so at the end of the day hate. But she has been in the buisness what 12 years and is still bringing out #1 albums that are amazing. Ok Your Done.

It's a 2-way street. A lot of it comes from her stans who brag incessantly that she can do 500k with zero promo while eating Cheetos at home, just because it's Britney bitch. That's partly why 278k may seem low to some of her haters.

Lady GaGa is the hot, new artist. Britney is well into her career and didn't promote as much.

Not only does Lady GaGa have the hype behind her, but she also did more pre-promotion of BTW than Britney did for the entire FF era. So of course Lady GaGa would and is going to sell more.

The fact is Britney is still #1 again after 12 years. The fact is the numbers are consistent with the industry and time of the year.

Lets be honest. Gaga and Beyonce would never release an album in the first quarter which is known historically for it's low sales periods. Adele is an exception rather than the rule. This number isn't ground breaking by any stretch of the imagination but it does tell us that she has more of a pull then most of the other "it girls" out right now like Katy, Ke$ha, Rihanna and the like who released in higher sales periods and couldn't match her. And Gaga is not known for her first week album sales either. She first week sales for TF and TFM were both quite low as well during the holiday rush period. As to Beyonce we all know who had higher first week sales when they both released their albums in the same sales period (2008).

Nobody is making excuses, and nobody mentioned Gaga. But since we're on that subject, Born This Way is Gaga's second studio album. Britney was pulling big sales on her second and third studio albums, too. The point is: 1) 7th studio album, 2) lack of promotion when it was needed the most, 3) lack of public interest. Only one of those things could have been fixed by the label, but it's too late now. But hey, Britney got her 6th #1 album, and that's enough to make me happy.

Umm no she wouldn't. Look at how low her sales were when she released TF and TFM back in 08' and 09'. There is a reason why she is releasing her new album in late May where sales are generally higher.
