Just reported by HDD that Britney Spears, debuted at #1 :cheer: with 278,618 copies sold, which is a huge slide from the 500k that Circus did... What are your thoughts on this? Is it a lack of promo?

Probably lack of promo or people just don't think the album is as good as Circus.

This is just sad and disappointing, because it is a good album.

I think the problem of femme fatale is that it doesnt have a super strong single, all the songs are good and that

makes it kinda plain as lame as it sounds , i love it but for example circus had womanizer, if u seek amy(and its controversy),etc

BOMT - strong 2 singles
oops - strong 2 singles
Britney - super strong single
ITZ - Super strong singles
Blackout - all good songs
Circus - super strong single
Femme fatale - all good songs

also the leak, even if i love britney, whoring i wanna go and all other songs 2 weeks earlier made me kinda tired of it

Its because of the season which she released it. Its the time when people mostly don't buy anything, specially albums, for the lack of the season, she did overall pretty good.

Remember when Circus was released? It was the time when people mostly buy stuff (Christmas Time) and probably the reason for these sales.

278K is extremely solid. (No excuses that's the amount she sold with promotion). 7 #1 albums is an amazing accomplishment.

Meh.. She got what she put in. Its not THAT bad imo because not many people can get 270k now a days. Had she promoted well in advance I think she woulda did more but if she wants it to sell shes gotta push it. Having said that...

KIIIIIII!! Femme Fatale will probably get certified before Bionic & not only that but FF didn't flop worldwide lets really NOT.

It just didn't have the same interest from the general public that her comeback with Circus did. I'd even say that the media circus surrounding her breakdown caused more publicity for Blackout than she's had leading up to Femme Fatale's release.
