I agree that they sound very fitting for EOG. Ever since those lyrics first surfaced (well, once people realized they were lyrics), I've always heard them attributed to MTN.
Though they sound perfect for EOG, I was thinking they might work perfectly with MTN, as well. I don't really know what it's about, but I have an image of it being sort of a huge be yourself and treasure yourself song. I've created this image in my head (especially since it's her favorite song) of it being about her relationship with her fans and essentially it being a description of her tour experience. Essentially, I picture the song as her saying "I would give up all my fame and riches, if we (you and I, my fans and I) could just go out into the darkness of the night, safely be ourselves, the freaks and
Marry The Night" - almost like bad kids having an end-of-the-world party at night in church.
Who knows, though. We don't really know much about the song. But in that sense, I think it fits perfectly with the song.
