I had a similar reaction. I was tuning into multiple online streaming radio stations (including FLZ) who said they were playing the single first, muting each to see which ones were about to play it and freaking out like no other. And then when Born This Way came on, it sounded so weird. I already knew all the lyrics, but didn't know what it would sound like! That's something I had never experienced before. It wasn't at all how I sounded, and the song sounded like it had been remixed/etc by the radio station sort of. Also it was of lower quality than what we listen to now, so I really didn't know EXACTLY how it sounded until a few hours later when it was in HQ on her website and for sale.

I didn't like it at first. I don't know, I felt disappointed when it first came out and I even hesitated to buy it, but it eventually grew on me. It's still my second least favorite single of hers though.

It's cute that my best friend likes to play it all the time right now... sometimes I feel like she likes the song more than I do.

How did you guys feel while watching it RACE up to the top of iTunes? Remember when Duca was taunting us, saying it wasn't even in the top 1000? :shakesno: And then for it only to beat iTunes records all over. I remember I was on the way to Atlanta a few hours after the single, and I fell asleep in the car for most of the car ride (from staying up all night ). When I woke up, I first checked iTunes on my phone. IT WAS ALREADY NUMBER ONE.

So insane. I kept saying to my friends periodically "It just went #1 in ______'s iTunes store too!!" and they would say, "Collin, stfu, we get it" hahaha. I was just so blown away! And there was so much confusion over whether it had gone #1 in specific iTunes stores and people were fighting - only for it to go #1 in all countries!
