Its not a diss, shes comparing her album to RR which she knows many will have heard to give a taste of her own album, saying its darker than that. If you disagree or not is another matter, both are dark so who cares really?

Of course you would compare lead singles, considering Russian Roulette is one of the only "dark" songs on Rated R lyrically and musically. Not all songs on Perfectionist are dark pop, but overall Perfectionist is darker than Rated R Sorry you make conclusions before listening to the album/preview of songs

The atmosphere of the music in Perfectionist is darker than Rated R, but Rated R's lyrics are darker & meaningful & the songs that are dark on Rated R SHITTTT all over Perfectionist.

However, regarding peak darkness, Rated R takes the cake. Nothing on perfectionist can compare to RR, FB, CCL, or G4l lyrically or melodicallyin terms of atmosphere.

Anyone who's heard both albums will reach the same conclusion as I... it's not a subjective interpretation. Every song on Perfectionist has dark elements to it. With that said, though Rated R has airy songs, the dark ones are infinintly darker than anything on Perfectionist. Comprende?
