She did one performance opening week, and before was abroad. Circus had a benefit that this album doesn't, it was released at the highest time for sales.
We brag on her opening week and then what, the album never stays #1. She has a good chance of staying number 1. And we are getting more promo, and holiday sales. We had one good week for Circus and then blah. This has the chance to do more.
We need to stop these freakouts and blame games, it's not cute.

Who complained about Circus promo before the album was released? No one and they would have been a fool to do so. After that....most definitely, but that's something everyone even non-fans have said. No one can deny the promo from October 2008-December 2, 2008. It was great, but after the 2nd....

I doubt it because she should be rehearsing for the tour right now to be honest...it is only 3 months away. She's doing phone interviews with radio stations in the UK, but that won't be enough.

|
I think the only reason they released it now was to save their fiscal quarter. I still believe it can be a success, but front loaded first week sales are now out the window. The thing is those decisions they are making are messing with Britney's sales & I don't like it at all. She needs new management like for real.

Her management is still in 1999
And it won't save their fiscal year anymore

290K is not that bad, but.... are we sure those are the numbers with the promo? (Vegas, Jimmy, GMA) I mean, what would've been the numbers without the promo? 150K?

I heard more than my fair share of complaints, she was visible as much as she is now, even less so in my opinion.
It's easy to look back fondly cause it worked so well, but it wasn't like she was doing a lot then either.

The sad thing is that it's true. She needs people that know she's a grown woman now.

And they won't make a difference in the first week sales, since they will air on Sunday...

My quick little review of the album...
Till the World Ends - Hot for 2-3 listens, but got stale.
Hold It Against Me - Got stale, & should not have been the first single.
Inside Out - Love. Should be future single.
I Wanna Go - Love. Should have been the first single, & must be the next one.
How I Roll - Love, very Ke$ha-ish though. No single potential.
(Drop Dead) Beautiful (featuring Sabi) - Did love, now just enjoy. No single potential.
Seal It With a Kiss - Hot mess. Filler. No single potential.
Big Fat Bass (featuring will.i.am) - LOVELOVELOVE. Second favorite on the album. Huge single potential.
Trouble for Me - Love. Future single please.
Trip to Your Heart - Don't remember.
Gasoline - Good but nothing special or overly memorable. No single potential.
Criminal - Good, but not amazing. The flute is nice. No single potential.
Up n Down - LOVELOVELOVE. Favorite of the album. Should be considered as a future single. Very hot beat.
He About to Lose Me - Very good.
Don't remember the other two bonus tracks.

The Circus promo was better because this time they basically forgot about the rest of the world.
Circus Worldwide Promo:
UK: X-Factor Performance
Germany: Bambi Awards performance
France: Star Academy Performance
Japan performance.
Femme Fatale Worldwide Promo:
A phone call to a radio station in the UK
