If it gets outsold by Blackout in terms of first weeks sales, I'll laugh. Since, the only promo that had was a phone call to Ryan & a VMA performance. This is what Jive gets for holding off on promo appearances till the last minute. She should've been on every media outlet possible the second HIAM was released. Not just hoping MTV would be enough to keep the beginning of the era up & running.

They might as well get her not to promote the next time (Circus wasn't so heavily promoted = Did better, Blackout = **** promotion, looks like it will outsell FF first week)...
This is what working with Dr. Luke gives you. A FLOP album! (usually it gives you a flop album and hit singles, but this time none of these )

We been called it, hopefully sales can remain steady. She'll have to promote extra hard, but that'll be hard to do when you're preparing for a tour that begins in three months.

There's just no interest in her right now....and honestly why would there be? She has nothing to offer. Her performances don't do her any good because they are horrible. Her interviews don't do her any good because they are horrible.
She's literally like a walking zombie in every aspect. All the producers, managers, assistants, etc. can say whatever they want about how in control she is or whatever, but actions speak louder than words. And she's off.
It has nothing to do with her promo, management, producers, etc. It's about her. People aren't that dumb. They can see how uninterested she is in everything.

I disagree with the Circus promo thing. From the release of Womanizer to radio till the GMA performance on the day of release, Circus had amazing promo. She was on several magazines, had a highly publicized documentary and international promo that lead into the release of the album. Where they went wrong in regards to promo was left things be after Circus was released and went straight into getting ready for the tour that began 2/3 months later. Not to mention the multiple public appearances and radio interview she did.

Circus had the benefit of being a comeback album after her major breakdown. So promotion wasn't as needed. But this time it was. I'm not here for next time. They (her management) need to get their **** together now. Because I don't use what's being offered right now at all. Also, all these restrictions they're making when it comes to interviews is obviously messing up any possible promo opportunities.

THIS!!!
I still can't get over the way they let HIAM die with the video released one month and a half later when it was already too late.
And to think that the best hope for Femme Fatale is the US
I'm expecting similar numbers to Blackout for the opening week worldwide.

Sis, you & I both know Britney hardly promotes after the release date nowadays. I still feel like they should've waited a few months before the tour announcement.

the fact that blackout had hype and had fourth quarter sales and femme fatale is just barely projected to open with that I think is actually good. Y'all knew she wasn't gonna open with 500k... But still hyped it up to that. It's first QUARTER sales... Its not a flop. If it was a flop it would be opening with 100k, so just quit the stupid useless "flop" talk.

I wonder if she will promote worldwide because I'm sure she will forget about the album once she starts rehearsing for the tour.

If they weren't ready for the PR and promo work needed to be successful in this time of the year, then they had no business releasing music outside of the 4th quarter. All is not lost, the album will do fine, I just don't like decisions that are being made.

I'm so tired of the revisionist history some fans are trying to pull, I've seen every Britney fan bash Circus promo like it was their job. Now, some of you are saying it was great, perfect, good? She did one performance opening week, and before was abroad. Circus had a benefit that this album doesn't, it was released at the highest time for sales.
We brag on her opening week and then what, the album never stays #1. She has a good chance of staying number 1. And we are getting more promo, and holiday sales. We had one good week for Circus and then blah. This has the chance to do more.
We need to stop these freakouts and blame games, it's not cute.

Well, not fantastic, but not tragic either.
To be honest, I don't know why, but at this point I was more worried about not debuting at #1, so I'm glad it will.
