This is getting into some messy territory. Pop music is, by definition, music made for large-scale commercial purposes. Similarly, popular music is music that has a wide appeal. Thus, it is difficult to say that any type of pop music is experimental or avant-garde while still allowing it to be called "pop music."
That said, I consider a band like Sleigh Bells to be experimental pop.
The definition of Pop has changed though, we now class it by how it sounds rather then it's target audience.

MMVA's is usually the biggest.
The only other big music related event is the Juno's (which already happened)
Its cause were so close to the US there's a lack of. It would be nice if Much Music wasn't so pro-Toronto that they moved the MMVA's around like MTV does with the VMA's.

I'm sorry. I'm just overwhelmed at this Katy Perry promo and hoping Gaga would come like this. Maybe it's just me. I hope the Gagavision will help restore my faith back.

You can tell when pop is pop and when it is not and I don't think pop will change sound it'll just pick up new influences. At the moment it is heavily dance orientated but it may move at some time in the future

She did a Performance, A live TV Interview & a ton of Radio Interviews.
That imo was enough for Born This Way. This song was for her fans therefore shes performing it Daily at the MBall and shes performing it at smaller clubs for all of her fans that couldnt see her.
Gaga will not always promote like she did for The Fame era and thats ok, because her name alone now can make her successful and she doesn't have to work her ass off just to get a small bit of recognition.
