I've had friends who interned with Capitol and explained to me how essential ad revenues (i.e. from Vevo streams, TV commercials, etc.) and royalties are to the company's bottom line.

Co-sign. I thought it would be GaGa and Britney. Given that GaGa hasn't released her album yet and is still on single #1, I'll hold my predictions on her. But Katy, Rihanna and a surprising Adele are holding their own against the biggest pop stars out right now. You just never know.
