He's really not. He is no where near as prolific as the likes of Eminem and T.I. at their peaks (both whom experienced over 300k with their respective singles when released to iTunes in the forms of Not Afraid, Love The Way You Lie, and Live Your Life), and his hype also isn't anywhere near the level of Kanye, Jay-Z, and others who usually end up selling around 200k with their singles (Death Of Auto-tune, H.A.M, and Run This Town). Since he doesn't have that level of hype to his work from his own audience look for sales for 'No Sleep' to reign between 170-190k at their maximum. Unless his popularity bars are insanely high and are at a huge difference between him and the current #2 song. But I'm doubting that. It's probably not that far ahead from JCGE. The natural conclusion to JCGE and NS at the #1 and #2 spots here is that the sales chart is unnaturally weak at the moment.

If Katy and Rihanna's singles are selling like hotcakes yet all the versions combined are STILL not topping his sales, obviously he's doing something right.

I guess you aren't aware that Katy's version of E.T. with Kanye West has been revoked from iTunes. That was where a majority of her sales were coming from. It's obvious without the remix she is selling significantly less. It took E.T. (album version) awhile for it to move up and rise to where it is now (#4). It wouldn't surprise me if she dropped really badly this week sales wise because there isn't that remix which initially launched and kept up sales. She's obviously not selling 216k like she did (last?) week.
It's also obvious that all the other pop starlets have dropped too. Gaga, Rihanna, and Jennifer Lopez aren't selling as much as they were last week. It has less to do with Wiz "doing something right" than the fact that everyone around him is falling. He has a new song out and naturally that is helping him right now. I won't say there isn't interest. There obviously is. But he is benefiting immensely from a poor sales week. He probably won't be at that #1 spot for too much longer. Just wait for something to push him out. Femme Fatale's release may be the thing that pushes TTWE to the top spot.

I doubt TTWE will be heading anywhere near #1. Maybe somewhere in the Top 10 if she's lucky

Did you come here to troll?
Regardless GMA and the video pushed Circus to #1 with her last album. Considering she is going to have no less than four performances of TTWE shown during her release week that increases TTWE chance at it being #1. Interest has to be there, of course. But it definitely is looking like TTWE will benefit the most from the album release seeing as it's her current single. And promo usually helps songs rise. But we will see. I definitely think four performances within a one week period will be enough for an iTunes #1.

but if the release of HIAM's video right before an episode of America's most popular reality TV show didn't help it, I doubt a couple performances catering to an older crowd will skyrocket the single either.

Irrelevant. Less than 4 million people saw the music video on MTV, and viewers are naturally limited as it is a cable network audience. TTWE will be seen by multiple viewers all through out the day . Morning, afternoon, primetime, and late at night. Around 20 million people will see TTWE performed through out the different television mediums. Not to mention the various promotional spots airing all week. That will do a lot more for her than 4 million people who watched a music video between commercial breaks.
Not to mention your facts are also wrong, HIAM got up to #11/12 after the music video was released when it was lingering in the 30's before, so obviously it did help.
