Ikr? Always when Katy is about to get #1 they bring up album sales. We know her album sales are nothing special but no matter how many #1 singles she has or promo, you can't call 1,3 million selling album a flop for god's sake. I know many other artist who had huge #1's but their albums barely sold 100k.

I would rather see her slaying something then being average @ everything.

I don't think that he was trying to say that Singles or Albums were more important. He was saying that while the people who are currently hating on Katy right now are simply mad that she is consistently having number one, multi-platinum hits from this album when their faves aren't.

Her album sales are solid. I think the strategy should now focus on getting the album into the top 40 on itunes though.

I'd choose my words wisely because that could be considered a flame bait. We all know that the percentages werent that high before Capitol's strategy. But she's still slaying nonetheless.

Not saying anybody did. The point I'm making is that anybody must be kidding themselves to believe that an artist can ever reach a certain status of notoriety with just singles sales. And those type of artists usually don't stick around for long. But congrats to Katy however.

They said that 3 years ago. Called her 1 hit wonder and I don't know what else. If she continues to make pop music in coming years she should have no problem sticking around. And she's already planning to become pregnant lol. Few more albums and bye. I don't see her releasing albums after she turns 35 And i'm sure she shares my opinion. Some people are taking things too seriously.

I love her and enjoying her music. She's having success now. We'are enjoying it. Who knows what tomorrow brings. I don't care.
