Katy is very self-aware, and knows exactly what she needs to do to stay in the spotlight. Her label don't care about chart positions, only sales. But yet maybe they suggested it. Katy is smart enough to do this and she tweeted and now she's storming to #1 next week, and you will sit down and stay mad while she gets her 4th consecutive #1 on an album.

Oh, a paragraph in response to a sentence. Nice.
I'm sure Katy was involved with this whole fiasco, but from your post I read it as if you thought she did it all. She could've easily just nodded her head in agreement or arranged the whole thing herself. I don't know, you don't know, I just find it funny you sound as you do.

Lol at ATRL Haters pretending as if KATY WASN'T GOING #1 Anyway.
The remix would have been #1 by now if it wasn't removed yesterday.

what's with this "lucky" and "undeserved" stuff? People love the song, the fact that is about to go #1 with little promotion compared to her previous 2 singles proves it and don't act as if a remix secures a #1, many others have done it and failed miserably the album version being top 10 on iTunes proves people love the song no matter what
anyway, E.T. is #4 & #14 now

Please, Katy Perry isn't Rihanna.
Rihanna's label, yes, must decide between sales and chart positions, as they did by releasing What's My Name - a not much seller single - 2465413 weeks after it started whoring the radio, so it could go right to #1. Katy can have both, since she doesn't release R&B songs nor sell many albums (no shade)

So that's why Rihanna had 2 singles in the top 5 at the same time

And you're acting like Katy Perry IS the queen. Relax, all of them are the queen of something: Katy is a great single seller; almost every single Rihanna releases is *****d by the stations, and she sells a lot of albums; Gaga is a great album/single seller, her songs always do good on radio, she has a lot of followers on twitter and a lot of fans on facebook, 7 #1's on pop etc etc...

People are STILL buying the song regardless of what has happened, and y'all better deal that your fave is not on Katy's place and keep bitching. She was going to get the #1 anyway. *giggles like britney in gimme more*

LOL. i see the pressed have retreated.. (That's how it should always be)
no need for GaGa or Rihanna's fans to feel threatened, they are doing awesome too.
Kesha's fans throwing shade at Katy on the other hand should know their place on the hierarchy.
