It's a bitch slap in the faces of all the pressed souls who accused katy and her team of "cheating" because they released the Kanye-Remix.
You see, people love the song and they buy it. With or without Kanye West,
Removing E.T. was a really smart move on the label's part. It was smart that they waited until Satuday, because if I remember correctly digital sales are "stopped" in terms of tracking on sunday, and E.T. has pretty much been above it's competition the whole time. Meanwhile, the standard version is climbing nonetheless. The hype for the remix is increasing and by the time the video releases, sales will be through the roof (probably). Plus, she's pretty much got #1 on lock for this week, and now she's pretty much ensured at least 2 weeks at #1.
