Monsters (including Rainbows) basically waited over 24 hours in line to be towards the front. Spent the night on the streets. The NBC security kept telling them that they'd be in the front. Then, right before it's all about to start, they bring in a mass of "VIPs" and so the Bad Kids that waited forever weren't even near the the front of the crowd, let alone near the stage. They couldn't see her.
The worst part is that the VIPs looked really bored during the performance. You can definitely tell re-watching the performances that they just didn't look at all interested.
And then Perez had to get his ass involved and tell the monsters complaining that they were ****** and shouldn't be complaining because it's free, etc.
