And thats why the results are like this. Everybody knows Janet Jackson is an incredible performer and artist but not everyone is going to like her songs. Most of us are teens and they couldnt expect the poll to be 90% janet and 10 rihanna just based off her name and legacy. People have different opinions.

Would people stop with this? People know of her as a result of musically-talented family tree however that should not permit anyone to say that she's only in the entertainment business and at this level of fame because of her brother. What about Jermaine, Rebbie & Le Toya? Where are their music careers? Have they achieve a tenth of the critical acclaim, music sales, tour grosses, awards etc etc of Damita Jo? Not at all. Janet is her own and is no way the legend she is now because of MJ.
