I love janet jackson and yes shes a legend but I prefer Rihanna's music, image and voice. None of us are deluded to think that janet jackson is not an icon. Rihanna loves her so Im happy that she is winning. Its just fun to watch. NOW... all of you who are criticizing. It is just a poll. ATRL doesnt reflect the public's opinion. My upset-ness has subsided since yesterday. I'm just being honest. Why do people expect Rihanna to be legendary or influential when she has only contributed rather inconsistently to her own career?

You could draw a comparison to Britney, but Britney spearheaded the teen pop movement and had been known for her amazing stage presence.
