Girl, that's not even half as bad as the comment that Gaga made regarding 'some bitch lip-syncing her way through an HBO concert.' Besides, Britney has always been a professional and she can keep personal differences aside in the name of music. For instance, other artists would have never worked with Francis Lawrence after the "Cry Me A River" video, yet Britney still worked with him and continues to praise his work. It's not like she has personal relationships with these people, and frankly with all the **** that she has to read and hear, she probably couldn't care less.

I wish people would get off Ke$ha's supposed Britney dis. The whole thing was blown entirely out of proportion, and as far as I'm concerned Ke$ha didn't need to apologize as I feel the true intent of the Britney namedrop was misinterpreted. Yes, it's certainly a poor decision to mention another starlet by name in your music for the fact that your words, whether good or bad, will immediately be taken as an insult. That said, if people would actually listen to "Styrofoam" and give Ke$ha the benefit of the doubt, I think they'd realize that her words are not nearly as malicious as most would assume.
The track is centered around coming to the realization that, despite how much we think certain things will last forever, nothing in life is actually permanent. She applies this concept to everything from the pain she feels from a failed relationship, to the cigarettes she smokes, to the promises she makes to herself (never getting drunk again) that she's unable to honor. Basically, at some point everything will change, or fade from the forefront of our consciousness, or come to an end completely, and this applies to not only to the things that we deal with specifically on our own, but to larger facets of society and the world in general. As I see it, Britney is one of these larger facets, an icon and a part of our culture that seems as though it has been around forever, and most assume will be prominent forever, but of course like Madonna and U.S.S.R. all of these things that we think of as being established die out or are forgotten in some sense. Ok, so neither Madonna nor the U.S.S.R. are completely forgotten as most people at least recognize these names, but the day is quickly approaching when these subjects will no longer be relevant to a new generation of people and questions like "Madonna, who?" or "The U.S.S.R. what?" will not seem so uncommon. Even the names Britney, Gaga, Beyonce, and so forth, as unforgettable as we think these names are right now, will be met with the same "Who?" question in 10-20-30-40-50 years by those who didn't live through the history they created. It's a fact, and it's silly for anyone to be upset by this. Truthfully, I take it as a bit of a compliment that Britney would be the go-to person for Ke$ha to use to illustrate this idea. Certainly it says something incredible about Britney's status; that the inevitable decline in her prominence seems so impossible to us because she's such a fixture in our lives at this time. Why isn't it "In 10 years, insert another popular singer, popular singer, who?" Because, Britney's seen as so non-disposable, and as it stands right now, it almost seems as though the world would cease to function without Ms. Spears around, but of course life would go on. Ke$ha gets it.
"Styrofoam" was perceived as a watch-your-back-cause-I'm-coming-to-obliterate-your-career-you-disposable-bitch sort of statement, but that's simply not how I see it... at all. In fact, nowhere in the track does Ke$ha make the bold assertion that she is the successor to Britney's pop crown, or anyone else's pop crown, or anything of that nature.

I don't think it's official yet, it sounds like someone tweeted Ke$ha and her tweet was her reaction. But it sounds like a smash to me based on the description.

The name is hot, it's attention grabbing.
"You say I should stop what I'm doin'
Staying home with my kids playin' it quiet,
You say I had my time and now it's over
Time to step back and go with the flow
Oh I say,
I'm here till the world ends,
Till the world ends, Till the world ends, ends
Words like paper knives, they hit me but don't hurt
I'm here till the end
The worlds end"
Just an idea.
