When it cribs the melody from one of the biggest pop stars from all time, I'd say it's fairly safe. And the embracing-one's-sexuality bandwagon was well in motion before she even hopped on.

But...still not as safe as Dr. Luke.

The lyrics are the only things remotely risky about the song and the fact that it is Lady GaGa we are talking about makes your point moot. She has been building her image to be the supporter of the LGBT community long before Born This Way was released making this song, not very out of the norm. Everyone was expecting it and therefore it is not very risky.

Gaga is at #1 on WW itunes, GOOD FOR HER, she deserves it! She's worked her ass off for this!!! She's gone on talkshows, grammy's, radio interviews etcc.


Britney was #1 on WW itunes too, the only difference was that Britney was probably having sex while she was selling 411K on her first week, so please don't go there guys. and BOTH songs are BIG HITS so there's nothing to compare/complain about.
Did Gaga open with BIGGER numbers than Britney? DUH! She's been hyping this single since the VMA's! Besides, Gaga is SUPPOSED to outsell Britney, she's hot from the oven, Britney's been 13 years here and STILL Is relevant in charts and competition against the "it" girls.
Just please stop fighting, I know it sounds corny, but do you think Gaga and Britney give a **** about this!!! They're happy cause they're both #1 and are very successful. They wouldn't want us to fight, but to celebrate that they're the most relevant pop stars out there right now. (Again I know it sounds corny, but I had the need to say this).

Wrong. It's never safe with lyrics like those, even if it comes from a big popstar like Gaga. And the embracing one's sexuality bandwagon wasn't in motion like Gaga put it in. She didn't try to hide her lyrics behind metaphors like some of Dr Luke's other experiments
