Honestly, everyone took it literally when I said that HIAM was a promo single....but I was in such a rush that I couldn't explain.

The fact is that HIAM served its purpose. Britney's first single in a year -- get the world re-introduced to Britney and introduced to her new sound and dubstep....only to set up the second single which will probably go full out in terms of dubstep.

Yes, HIAM is more successful than a promo single and was given the full 9 yards in terms of video. YES HIAM is not dead despite all this negativity and is still doing well....however, I really see it that way. When HIAM is promoted, it probably won't matter anymore...meaning that the second single is the true first single in this case.

The second single will coincide with the album, the second single will be the one promoted. The second single will be the big single which will reflect the album.

HIAM was the nice little warmup for things to come. An appetizer before dinner...Britney's name and fans propelled that song to #1. Jive sure has hell had no plan for Britney to make that song go #1.

However, I'm sure it will be different for this second single.

HIAM was a Worldwide smash lead single that can be considered a buzz single simply based on how it was handled....NOT how it was received or the success it achieved.

The fact that we're getting a second single in LESS than a month only re-affirms my point.

The second single was lined up a WHILE back when Dr. Luke and Adam were talking about it last month.....that was when everything was still peachy in HIAM chart-world.


Second of all, it shouldn't be about x2 Platinum certifications, etc....it's truly about music and if it's good or not. HIAM IS a success already and like every other major Britney song before it, HIAM won't be TRULY appreciated by fans and the general public until 3 years down the road when some hot new artist makes a carbon copy of it.

I have a feeling that Britney and Jive are going to come HARD with the 2nd single.

I'm starting to believe HIAM was released to show the public Britney was still here and could still pull it off. Hence the amazing video.

I don't think HIAM will get performed until the end of it's charting period, I think Jive is waiting until the major album promo that way Britney can perform both singles (Womanizer/Circus plan). Except I think the promo will be 10x harder than Circus.

Tracklist has been defined today. Case is closed. "Antidote" and "Switch You On" were cut off of the final tracklist in order to give space to the new Will.I.Am tunes. So don't hold it against me. But they're equally - or even more - terrific. Four Billboard tracks that are just jams.

You guys are gonna have the tracklist until March, 4th. It needs to be done until that date. They got some huge plans on the sleeve.


They are talking to iTunes about an iTunes Countdown. It means you would have your first peak on the album during the first week of March.
