Do I care if GaGa possibly "outshines" my queen? No.

No matter how much some of you fight it BRITNEY SPEARS will ALWAYS matter. She isn't going anywhere, and I think these past few years have shown that.

All of her VMA performances are iconic and will always be remembered. The snake, the Madonna kiss and the Oops performance. Even the 2007 one which was panned by critics and those who want her to fail is iconic. It was attention-seeking but at least it was successful unlike Gaga's gimmicks which always FAIL. And please, Brit was the hottest girl that time and she even topped FHM the following year. Proof: The audience didn't give a damn about the Madonna and Xtina kiss. I still think Gaga's not confident enough about her appeal that the weird stuff would have to make up for it.

Celine pretty much destroyed Madonna in terms of sales from 1996-2000 and look who's still here today making hits.
