Animal is a far superior album to Teenage Dream , and as a single , TiK ToK is better , so I guess you're right .

Not all, but it plays a huge part. Not just in music.

California Gurls is the less interesting version of Tik Tok, and Teenage Dream had the same producers as Animal....

What makes Katy so superior to Ke$ha? Is it because she's actually hot..
Back to Britney. She'll get some grammy nominations. I won't count on AOTY

Her label's push. If Animal had gotten the exposure + promo of Teenage Dream, it would have outsold it.

If anything, Ke$ha got snubbed because it would make the Grammy's look bad if she got onstage drunk and took her award.

Definitely. She got snubbed due to the same reason the Grammy's gave Christina Aguilera the Best New Artist award instead of Britney although everybody knew Britney was the one who should have received it - Christina can sing better.
Ke$ha has a beautiful voice, and I think people will start taking her seriously if she releases one of her amazing ballads and performs them with a dress properly. Like The Harold Song, it could have performed better than WRWWR had it been presented properly to the public and took everyone by surprise that she DOES have a voice, because most people think she's a talentless **** who ****ed for a career when in fact the girl has a smashing Pop voice, can write, has charisma, performs amazingly, lay phenomenal background vocals, and the list goes on, but people choose to overlook that because of the bitchiness and "**** all" attitude in her songs, that I love.

Regardless of the quality of Ke$ha's work, she's not likely to receive many Grammy nominations or wins simply because of the reputation she earned at the start of her career. In the eyes of the Grammy voters there's a stigma hanging over everything Ke$ha does because she is so readily identified as this trashy, crude, drunken pop star. It's impossible for certain voters to maintain an objective view of the work of a girl like Ke$ha. Utimately, the fear that honoring her with a nomination will somehow affect the respectability of the Grammys, or the idea that her irreverent persona negates the quality of her work, will win out over brilliant pop singles like "Tik Tok". In this sense, the tracks and albums she releases will be held to a different standard than say, Katy Perry, who's work is arguably around the same level as Ke$ha's (if not worse) but somehow more "respectable" because her image is a little bit more cleaned up and not nearly as polarizing. With "Teenage Dream" Katy Perry gave us sexy, trashy, pop music done in a way that didn't offend too many people and was just popular (because popularity is a HUGE aspect in the pop-focused awards and sometimes in categories like ROTY/AOTY) enough that they knew she had to be nominated.
I think the same thing that plagues Ke$ha, also applies to the general view of Britney in the Grammy world, though in a slightly different way. Britney's work is forever seen as lo-brow bubblegum because she's the sexy, blonde, pop princess. Despite the fact that a lot of her work has been consistently better than that of her peers and has been just as well-recieved critically (if not better received), she's still not likely to get nominated for the "big name awards" because there's still that underlying feeling that her work is somehow inferior. They have no qualms throwing her a bone in the dance category cause nobody pays attention to it. Why bother to nominate her elsewhere when they can play it safe and not have to worry about their credibility by giving Beyonce her 27th Grammy for a mediocre album/single. I think Britney's people realize this, and to me, that sort of explains why they've never been that concerned about submitting her for certain categories or campaigning for her. The sad thing is, I think if Britney did ever win an ROTY Grammy or anything of that nature, the backlash would be insane. People hold onto this silly notion that the Grammys are an exercise in awarding quality, and that Britney is incapable of producing quality work. Neither of these things are true, but the skepticism surrounding her is rich and prevents many people from recognizing her greatness.

I agree 100% with both of you .
Ke$ha needs to perform The Harold Song and a ballad from Animal , while she's promoting Blow

I'd never put anyone through the torture of reading an entire book of my poor writing.
But thank you, sweetheart. You have a way of perfectly saying what you need to say in your posts.

Please. Your writing is superior than... like... 99% of the members here. My English is horrid because I live in the Middle East. Hopefully it will get better after I go to Canada for University this April.
