It's in-line with everything she's done before, but it's still really fresh sounding. It's what Gaga in 2011 should sound like.

And somehow she totally pulls off this hokey message and manages to make it totally legit and non-irritating.

This is probably my least favorite single from her thus far, but I'll give it time to grow on me. I hated Bad Romance at first, so... It does sound a bit dated. I'm not a fan of Madonna, so I can't say anything about these Express Yourself comparisons.

But I'm SO happy she shot to #1. I knew there would be more than a few people gloating if she stalled in the 20s or something.
