Do you know what a "socially responsable cooporation" is? All that money she "gives" helps her create an image that you and several other naive people fall for. All music acts, actors and other celebrities do charity because in the long run it helps them earn more money, not because they really want to. If they wanted to help they'd donate without saying it.

That is such a pessimistic way of looking at things. How about celebrities donate money to charities because, as a celebrity, they have enormous sway over what people buy into so they use their fame for good. Now some people might use charity as publicity, but I think a lot more people do it to use their celebrity to make a positive impact on society.

With that being said, I absolutely believe Lady Gaga is sincere with her support for GLBT rights. That's why she has the potential to be the most important artist of our generation. Our Elvis. Our MJ.
