If her goal is to make catchy songs that get stuck in people's heads, then she has succeeded.

She's been praised cus she is the "IT" girl, something she achieved by wearing costumes and singing/writing repetitive songs. Nothing wrong with that, it worked but there's is nothing to be proud of/to be respected.
