+1 I think sales will be better and songs will have a good chart run, not just debut at #1 and fall out fo top 40 in 5-7 weeks. Some songs will; X-Factor winner singles.
But a disadvantage is (IMO) that it will be harder for newer artists who release their debut single to chart.
